DIVING

BEGIN DIVING
The conditions at Lily Beach are perfect for beginners! Prodivers offers a number of options that let you get your hair wet and experience what it is like to breathe underwater for the very first time. It may feel overwhelming at first, but if the chance of coming face to face with a clown fish or a turtle isn’t convincing enough, then a possible manta ray or whale shark sighting maybe is.

AMAZING DIVE SITES
South Ari Atoll is home to some of the most famous dive spots across the Maldives. Colourful coral formations, a huge variety of fish life, wrecks and seasonal sightings of manta rays and whale sharks have made it one of the world’s top diving destinations. With more than 50 dive sites within easy reach, and new ones being discovered, it is easy to understand why so many people coming back for more.

MORINGA-BASED PRODUCTS
At Lily Beach, we have sourced three natural nutritious health products containing Moringa from ZIJA’s Core Moringa:

Plant Protein: it contains a complete protein extracted from Moringa leaves helping to feed your body with maximum nutrition;

SNORKELING ADVENTURES

Nothing beats spending a day out on the ocean, exploring some of the prettiest reefs in the Maldives. Fish come in thousands, in a kaleidoscop of colours. Baby sharks and turtles patrol the lagoon, and the soft corals swing in the currents. Snorkeling is the easiest way to catch a glimpse of what’s hiding underwater.

OCEAN ADVENTURE
The South Ari Atoll is famous in the Maldives for its resident population of whalesharks and manta rays. The whaleshark is the ocean’s largest fish, with the average size here in the Maldives reaching 6 meters in length. Manta Rays are slightly smaller, with maximum wing spans of 5m.

Despite their size, these creatures are harmless, and their gracefulness in the water makes swimming with them one of the most sought after experiences on Lily Beach.

CORAL GARDEN SNORKELING
This spectacular snorkeling site is a just a few minutes dhoni ride away from Lily Beach and offers the chance to snorkel with a host of colourful Indian Ocean reef fish.

HOUSE REEF SNORKELING
The house reef which encircles Lily Beach is renowned in the Ari Atoll for its great coral life and abundance of fish life.

This guided house reef tour includes a short, shallow water introduction session with one of our guides, which is then followed up by a tour of the house reef.

EXCURSIONS

PENGUIN SEMI-SUBMARINE
See the coral reef and the abundant marine life around Lily Beach without even getting wet!

Penguin is a semi-submersible vessel that allows you to step down into the hull and admire the real-life aquarium through glass windows. As such, it is perfect for those of you who are not comfortable in the water, but still want to see the Maldives’ major highlight – life in its ocean. The roof of the semi-submarine is above the water surface, allowing you to also enjoy stunning views of Lily Beach from the viewing area on the Penguin’s deck.

The Penguin excursion is one of the most popular activities at Lily Beach as it provides a chance for everyone to peek below the ocean – children, honeymooners and elderly people alike repeatedly review it as spectacular.

The trip runs throughout the day and is accompanied by a knowledgeable guide.

Drinks and snacks are provided on board.

30-minute and 60-minute excursions are available at day- and nighttime, with special rates available for couples and groups. For the ultimate private experience, combine Penguin with a snorkelling safari!

HAMACLAND – EPIC ESCAPISM
For those wanting their own private escape away from the resort, our floating platform offers the perfect experience. Anchored in your own private lagoon, secluded from anyone else, this is epic escapism.

This is a once in a lifetime experience for couples that would like to be away from it all, with just the clear crystal lagoon and each other for company.

A mobile phone is included in this experience for contacting the resort – especially helpful for extending your time at the lagoon!

ISLAND EXPLORATION: DHANGETHI & MAHIBADHOO
Dhangethi is a Maldivian island steeped in culture and local history and offers the chance for you to see how the people of the Maldives live on a day to day basis. Local souvenirs are plentiful and there is also the chance to experience some Maldivian cuisine at the local coffee shops and restaurants.

Mahibadhoo is a local Maldivian island, just a short dhoni ride away from Lily Beach. This trip to Mahibadhoo offers a unique insight into the Maldivian way of life, with a guided walk around the island.

SUN LILY
If you have always dreamt of being the only one on a lush uninhabited island, surrounded by a turquoise lagoon, do not miss Sun Lily.

Only a 5-minute boat ride from Lily Beach, Sun Lily is the perfect spot to enjoy a private picnic or a dinner with your loved ones.

THE JET BLADE EXPERIENCE
The Jet Blade Experience Get your adrenaline pumping with Jet Blade to see Lily Beach from a Dolphin’s perspective.

JET SKI
The calm and clear waters of the Maldives are what jetskis were made for! Our jet ski rides can be taken privately, or accompanied by one of our watersports’ team, who will ensure a fun and safe adventure.

GLASS BOTTOM CANOE
The waters of the lagoon and reef around Lily Beach are home to an abundance of reef fish and coral life. Experience the fish life and reef right on your doorstep while remaining above the surface of the water.

The glass bottom canoe is perfect for those that are not confident snorkellers and wish to see the reef and the colourful fish first hand. If enjoy kayaking or canoing, this glass bottomed version bring an added dimension to your paddles.

NON-MOTORIZED WATERSPORTS
Our Watersports Centre offer a range of activities that can be enjoyed directly from the beach, and the lagoon area. These include: canoe, pedal boat, wind surfing, catamaran sailing, Stand Up Paddle board, snorkeling equipment.

These non-motorized watersports activities are included in the Platinum Plan.

SWIMMING POOLS
You can get your hair wet and indulge in the poolside atmosphere at two swimming pools at Lily Beach Resort & Spa. The marvelous infinity pool at the AQVA Bar adds allure to the island and is a favourite chill-out area to those after a quiet, adults-only relaxation venue. The lively area at the Vibes Bar is ideal for family fun in the sun as it boasts a kids pool, and for evening entertainment when the deck gets beautifully lit and you can take it easy under the starry Maldivian sky.

THE SPORTS COMPLEX
The Sports Complex boasts a floodlit tennis court, table tennis, darts, billiards and beach volleyball.

TENNIS
Lily Beach’s all purpose, floodlit tennis court is great for tennis enthusiasts, surrounded by island greenery.

Lily Beach’s established partnership with the RTC (Recreation Tennis Coaching) means our island is the perfect place for those wanting to improve their game, or simply discover a new hobby in the comfort of our Maldivian paradise.

Our in-house RTC tennis coach is on-hand for a few games or sets, or to provide training and private lessons, depending on individual experience levels, as well as offering try tennis sessions and RTC tennis courses (level 1 and 2 and junior courses) for those wanting to get more out of their game.

DIVING AND SNORKELLING
The amazing underwater world, which put the Maldives on the world travel map in the first place, is an experience not to be missed. As befits a luxury, 5-star resort, the coral reefs around Lily Beach offer some of the Maldives’ top dive and snorkelling sites.
